After a global open call for submissions, the results of the design review for the volunteer uniforms of the 2023 China International Digital Economy Expo have been announced. The “Digital Expo·Volunteer Great Wall” design stood out among numerous works and has been selected as the preferred option.

To successfully organize the 2023 China International Digital Economic Expo with high quality, establish an international, professional, and high-end image for the expo, enhance its reputation and influence, the Expo Executive Committee launched a global open call for volunteer uniform design. After two rounds of evaluation by an expert jury and the executive committee, it was unanimously agreed that the “Digital Expo·Volunteer Great Wall” uniform, with its depiction of an impressionist elements of the Great Wall representing ancient history combined with modern technology represented by the digital expo, fully embodies the organic integration of ancient history and modern technology, traditional culture, and innovative spirit. Beside the rich collision of color elements, the uniform highlights the inclusiveness, openness, and integration of the industrial internet, while fitting with the youthful, fashionable, and energetic attributes of the volunteers.

The “Digital Expo·Volunteer Great Wall” outfit consists of a polo shirt and long pants. The short sleeves of the polo shirt are light blue, with the cuff featuring the basic binary units of computer storage, 0 and 1, reflecting the elements of the digital economy. The logo of the China International Digital Economic Expo is printed on the right chest and back. The men’s pants are light gray, and the women’s pants are white. The overall color of the outfit is bright, showcasing vitality and vigor, giving people infinite imagination for exploring technology.

This design is centered around the cultural concept of the Great Wall in Hebei Province, aiming to spread the profound historical and cultural heritage of Hebei to the world through the window of the Digital Expo, which is a gathering of modern digital technology. The outfit primarily features a digital blue color tone and cleverly incorporates the colors of blue, green, and orange from the expo logo, embodying the concepts of digitization, technology, fashion, and dynamism. The design, with a 60-degree diagonal angle from bottom to top, represents the rapid advancement and upward momentum of the digital economy.
